Examiner Bureau | Srinagar, Feb 19:
The Army on Thursday successfully foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district, reinforcing heightened security along the border.
According to Army officials, suspicious movement of terrorists was detected in the general area of Nathua Tibba in Sunderbani during the early hours of February 19, 2026. The detection was made following specific intelligence inputs and sustained surveillance along the LoC.
Alert troops of the White Knight Corps responded with swift and calibrated fire, effectively thwarting the infiltration bid before militants could breach the defensive grid.
Officials stated that troops have since been suitably repositioned and reoriented to maintain comprehensive domination of the area through integrated ground and aerial surveillance. A high level of operational alert continues to be maintained across the sector to prevent any further attempts.
The timely response underscores the Army’s vigilance and preparedness in safeguarding the border against cross-border infiltration attempts.
