Seven CRPF Personnel Injured After Bunker Vehicle Skids into Canal in Srinagar

Seven personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were injured on Saturday after their vehicle met with an accident in the Dagpora area of Srinagar, officials said.

According to officials, the incident occurred at Umar Hair on Dagpora Road in Ahmad Nagar when the driver of a BP bunker vehicle reportedly lost control. The vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a nearby water canal, causing injuries to the personnel onboard.

Soon after the accident, rescue teams rushed to the spot and shifted the injured personnel to Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura, for treatment.

The injured personnel have been identified as Naginder Singh (36), Ajit Kumar Ram (36), Raj Kishore Rai (40), Amit Kumar Yadav (38), Rajdhan Ram (55), Mankar Kumar (40), and Neeraj Kumar (45).

Officials said all the injured personnel are in stable condition and have sustained multiple injuries. Further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident is underway.
