Examiner Bureau | Srinagar:

Jammu and Kashmir’s Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Sunday announced that all schools and colleges across Kashmir will remain closed for the next two days in view of the prevailing situation in the Valley.

The minister said the decision was taken as a precautionary measure. “We have decided to keep the schools and colleges closed for two days,” she stated.

Notably, elementary-level schools were scheduled to reopen on March 2, 2026, after remaining shut for over two months due to the winter vacation. The fresh closure has temporarily deferred the resumption of academic activities across the region.
