IAF Sukhoi Su-30MKI Goes Missing After Take-off From Assam

Agencies | Guwahati: An Sukhoi Su-30MKI fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force has gone missing after losing radar contact shortly after taking off from Jorhat, officials said on Thursday.

According to an official statement issued by the IAF on social media platform X, the aircraft was last in contact with ground control at around 7:42 pm.

“An IAF Su-30MKI is reported overdue. The aircraft had taken off from Jorhat, Assam, and was last in contact at 7:42 pm. Further details are being ascertained. A search and rescue mission has been initiated,” the IAF said in the statement.
