Examiner Bureau | Anantnag: The newly appointed Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anantnag, Amod Ashok Nagpure, on assuming charge has outlined a firm agenda to make the district drug-free, placing anti-narcotics enforcement at the top of his priorities.
Nagpure said the ongoing campaign against drug abuse by the Jammu and Kashmir Police will be significantly intensified, with a clear warning that strict legal action will be taken against those involved in drug trafficking. He stressed that curbing the menace is essential to protect the youth and ensure the overall well-being of society.
Reaffirming the police force’s commitment to public service, the SSP also announced the introduction of an “open-door policy,” allowing citizens to approach his office without prior appointments or fixed visiting hours. He said the initiative aims to strengthen public trust, encourage community participation, and ensure prompt redressal of grievances.
The move signals a proactive and people-centric approach to policing in Anantnag, with a dual focus on law enforcement and public outreach.
