Examiner Bureau | Jammu: Manoj Sinha on Tuesday issued a stern warning against elements attempting to disturb peace and stability in Jammu and Kashmir, asserting that any such actions will invite strict legal consequences.
Addressing the Passing Out Parade of constables at the STC Talwara in Reasi, the Lieutenant Governor said that any individual or group seeking to disrupt law and order, threaten civilian safety, or incite violence would have to “pay a very heavy price.”

He emphasised that the Jammu and Kashmir Police remains steadfast in its commitment to maintaining peace and stability and will take all necessary measures to counter such threats without exception.
Congratulating the newly inducted constables on successfully completing their rigorous training, the Lieutenant Governor urged them to safeguard the achievements of the Union Territory and continue working towards a peaceful and progressive society.
“J&K Police has played a crucial role in moving towards a terror-free and crime-free environment, contributing significantly to good governance, innovation and social harmony,” he said, adding that separatist elements attempting to disrupt development must be firmly dealt with.
Highlighting the responsibilities of the police force, Sinha said that public trust must be earned through integrity, impartiality and empathy. “Your role goes beyond enforcing the law—you must embody its spirit while upholding the dignity of every citizen,” he told the trainees.
Reiterating the administration’s commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, the Lieutenant Governor said a multi-pronged strategy is being implemented in coordination with various agencies to eliminate terror threats from the region.
A total of 430 trainee constables passed out after completing their basic training and were administered the oath during the ceremony. Several trainees were also honoured for their outstanding performance in different categories. The event was attended by Nalin Prabhat and other senior officials.
