J&K Govt Assigns Additional Charges to Senior IAS Officers

Temporary arrangements made to ensure smooth administrative functioning across key departments

The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Monday issued orders assigning additional responsibilities to two senior IAS officers to ensure uninterrupted administrative functioning.

According to Government Order No. 467-JK(GAD) of 2026 dated March 23, the Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, has been given the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Information Technology Department. The arrangement will remain in place until the regular incumbent resumes duties.

In a similar move, the Commissioner/Secretary, Forest, Ecology and Environment Department, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj.

The order specifies that both arrangements are temporary and will continue until further orders or until the concerned officers return to their respective posts.
