Tanvir Sadiq on Saturday launched a sharp attack on Mehbooba Mufti, accusing her of indulging in “politics of lies and deceit” while questioning her understanding of internal matters related to the National Conference.
Responding to remarks made by the PDP chief, Sadiq said Mehbooba Mufti was “not even aware of who the party treasurer is,” and alleged that her statements reflected misinformation and political desperation.
“This is the same politics of lies and deceit that the PDP has practised for years,” Sadiq said while speaking to reporters.
The NC leader also targeted the Peoples Democratic Party over its past political decisions and alliances, particularly its coalition government with the Bharatiya Janata Party in Jammu and Kashmir.
He accused the PDP of misleading people while attempting to rewrite its political history, adding that the public had not forgotten the party’s role in aligning with the BJP during its tenure in power.
Sadiq further said the National Conference remains focused on governance and public welfare, while opposition parties were attempting to create unnecessary political controversy through “baseless allegations and selective narratives.”
