The National Investigation Agency on Monday carried out raids at multiple locations across the Kashmir Valley in connection with an ongoing terror-related investigation, officials said.
Sources said the searches were conducted simultaneously in several areas of Srinagar and other districts as part of a wider crackdown on terror networks, overground workers (OGWs), and suspected terror-funding activities.
“NIA raids are underway at the banned JeI-linked Siraj-ul-Uloom in the Imam Sahib area of Shopian, as well as in Srinagar,” sources said.
The operation was conducted by NIA teams with assistance from the Jammu and Kashmir Police and paramilitary forces.
Officials said residential premises linked to suspected individuals were being searched as part of the investigation.
