At least ten labourers were injured after the vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road near Dhera Ki Gali in the Bufliaz area of Surankote in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Sunday.
According to officials, the accident occurred when the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road. Local residents rushed to the spot and launched rescue operations before shifting the injured to the Government Hospital, Surankote.
Hospital authorities said six of the injured sustained minor injuries and were discharged after receiving first aid, while the remaining four were undergoing treatment. The condition of the seriously injured was not immediately known.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and registered a case to investigate the cause of the accident.
