Examiner Bureau | Srinagar:

Several areas of Srinagar witnessed waterlogging on Sunday after heavy rainfall lashed the city, inundating low-lying localities and disrupting normal life.

Roads in several parts of the city were submerged following the downpour, leading to traffic congestion and making movement difficult for pedestrians and motorists. Waterlogging was reported from a number of low-lying areas, with drainage systems struggling to cope with the sudden spell of heavy rain.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast continued spells of heavy to very heavy rainfall across Jammu and Kashmir over the next few days, prompting authorities to advise residents to remain cautious and avoid unnecessary travel in vulnerable areas.

The district administration has urged the public to follow official weather advisories and take necessary precautions as the wet spell is expected to continue.
