The final leg of the annual Amarnath Yatra commenced with the traditional Chhari Mubarak ceremony at the historic Shankaracharya Temple in Srinagar, marking an important spiritual milestone in the pilgrimage dedicated to Lord Shiva.
The sacred silver mace, revered as the symbolic representation of Lord Shiva, was taken to the Shankaracharya Temple where special prayers and rituals were performed in accordance with age-old traditions. The ceremony marked the beginning of the Chhari Mubarak’s traditional journey towards the holy cave shrine of Amarnath.
