Jammu Winter-Zone Schools to Hold Classes 1–9 Exams From October 12

DSEJ issues uniform schedule for government and recognised private schools; examinations to be conducted from 10 am to 1 pm

The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has notified a uniform schedule for the summative assessment of students from Classes 1 to 9 in all government and recognised private schools in the winter zone of Jammu Division, with examinations scheduled to begin on October 12.

According to a notification issued by the Directorate on October 1, the examinations will be conducted between 10 am and 1 pm, depending on the duration prescribed for each paper.

Classes 1 and 2

For students of Classes 1 and 2, the examination schedule is:

  • October 12: Mathematics
  • October 13: English
  • October 14: Kashmiri/Dogri/Local Language
  • October 17: Hindi/Urdu

Classes 3 to 5

Students of Classes 3 to 5 will appear for:

  • October 12: Mathematics
  • October 13: English
  • October 14: Kashmiri/Dogri/Local Language
  • October 15: Environmental Studies
  • October 17: Hindi/Urdu

Classes 6 to 8

For Classes 6 to 8, the schedule includes:

  • October 12: Mathematics
  • October 13: English
  • October 14: Kashmiri/Dogri/Local Language
  • October 15: Science
  • October 17: Hindi/Urdu
  • October 19: Social Sciences

Class 9

Students of Class 9 will follow the same schedule as Classes 6 to 8, with an additional Vocational paper scheduled for October 21.

The notification, issued under No. DSEJ/Coord/2026/44461-44500 and signed by the Director of School Education Jammu, has been circulated to divisional and district-level authorities, including Deputy Commissioners, Chief Education Officers, DIET principals, Joint Directors and other concerned officials for necessary action.

The uniform schedule is applicable to government and recognised private schools falling under the winter-zone jurisdiction of the Jammu Division.
