PDL-TDL employees on Tuesday staged a protest at the Circle Office in Bijbehara, voicing strong opposition to the recently issued seniority list, which they allege has led to injustice for several employees.
The protesters said that the merging of Anantnag and Kulgam districts in the seniority list has adversely affected employees from Anantnag, undermining their rightful claims and career progression.
Demanding corrective measures, the employees called for the preparation of the seniority list on a district-wise basis in accordance with SRO 375, asserting that such a move would ensure fairness and equal opportunities for all. They argued that many deserving employees would secure their due positions if the list is revised accordingly.
The protesters urged authorities to intervene promptly and address their grievances. They also warned that failure to resolve the issue could lead to an escalation of protests, including large-scale agitation in the coming days.
