Senior Superintendent of Police Anantnag, Amod Ashok Nagpure, on Thursday chaired a high-level meeting at the District Police Office in Anantnag to review and finalise arrangements for the upcoming Sanjay 2026 Yatra.
The meeting was attended by the SP Headquarters Anantnag, ASP North (Camp Aishmuqam), and other senior police officers and officials. Detailed discussions were held on critical aspects including security arrangements, traffic regulation, crowd management, and inter-departmental coordination to ensure the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.
Emphasising preparedness, the SSP directed officers to maintain heightened vigilance, ensure proper deployment of personnel, and strengthen communication systems to effectively respond to any contingencies. He also stressed the importance of coordinated efforts among all stakeholders to maintain law and order during the Yatra.
Special focus was placed on facilitating pilgrims, ensuring their safety, and providing necessary assistance throughout the pilgrimage period. Officers were instructed to carry out regular inspections, identify vulnerable points, and take proactive measures to mitigate potential risks.
The meeting concluded with a comprehensive review of preparedness, with officials reaffirming their commitment to ensuring a safe, peaceful, and well-managed Sanjay 2026 Yatra.
