Three Arrested as Police Bust Alleged Sex Racket in Jammu’s Akhnoor

House owner among those held after raid in Kashmiri Mohalla; case registered under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, investigation underway.

Police have arrested three persons after busting an alleged sex racket operating from a residential house in the Akhnoor area of Jammu district, officials said on Saturday.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs regarding alleged immoral trafficking activities, a police team conducted a raid at a house located in Ward No. 2, Kashmiri Mohalla, Akhnoor.

During the operation, police arrested three individuals identified as Ravi Gupta, the owner of the house and a resident of Ward No. 2, Akhnoor; Sarishta Devi, a resident of Chowki Choura in Akhnoor; and Sahil Sharma, a resident of Sungal, Akhnoor.

Police have registered FIR No. 164/2026 at Police Station Akhnoor under the relevant provisions of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.

Officials said the investigation is in progress to identify other persons allegedly involved in the racket and ascertain the scale and network of the alleged illegal activities.

Police reiterated that the crackdown on immoral trafficking and other forms of organised crime will continue across the district.
