The Jammu and Kashmir administration has entrusted IAS officer Avny Lavasa with the additional charge of the Tribal Affairs Department.
According to a government order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) on Sunday, Lavasa, an IAS officer of the 2013 AGMUT cadre, will take over the additional responsibility of Administrative Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department.
Lavasa is currently serving as Secretary to the Government, Transport Department, and is also holding the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Hospitality and Protocol Department.
The order, issued in the interest of administration, stated that she will hold the additional charge of the Tribal Affairs Department until further orders.
The latest assignment adds another key administrative responsibility to Lavasa’s existing portfolio as the J&K administration continues to streamline departmental arrangements and ensure continuity in governance.
