Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg on Wednesday chaired a meeting to review and resolve issues concerning the proposed Medicity project.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo and senior officers from the Srinagar Development Authority (SDA), Roads & Buildings (R&B) Department, SIDCO, Industries and Commerce Department, besides Medicity Project Coordinator Sajad Nazir Shah.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the demarcation of land earmarked for the Medicity project and the provision of a 15-metre Right of Way (RoW)/buffer area between the new Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court complex and the Medicity site.
Taking note of the concerns raised by the departments concerned and the executing agency, Garg directed officials to conduct a joint inspection of the site to resolve the issue of demarcation of the allocated land.
He further directed that revenue officers from the concerned departments be associated with the demarcation exercise to ensure that the land is identified and demarcated strictly in accordance with the approved 2021 plan.
The Divisional Commissioner also stressed the need to ensure the requisite Right of Way for the Medicity project, stating that all necessary arrangements should be put in place to facilitate its smooth implementation and prevent further impediments.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar assured the meeting of full support and cooperation in facilitating an early resolution of the issue.
Earlier, the Project Coordinator briefed the chair on the approved Medicity plan and the provisions related to the Right of Way.
