Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday handed over an appointment letter on compassionate grounds to Vaishali Misra, wife of J&K Police Sub-Inspector Sachin Verma, who died in a road accident in Srinagar last year.
The Lieutenant Governor assured the bereaved family of all possible assistance and support from the administration.
Verma, a Sub-Inspector of the 23 Battalion of the Indian Reserve Police (IRP), lost his life in a road accident in the Nowgam area of Srinagar on August 11, 2025.
According to the Lieutenant Governor’s Office, the appointment has been provided to his wife under the compassionate appointment provisions.
The administration reiterated its commitment to supporting the bereaved family as it handed over the appointment letter.
