A Border Security Force (BSF) sub-inspector died after falling from a tractor in the Bari Brahmana area of Samba district, officials said.
The deceased was identified as Ved Pal Singh, a resident of Ratnal Kheri Bishnah in Jammu district.
According to officials, Singh was on leave when the accident occurred. He sustained critical injuries after falling from the tractor near Bari Brahmana and later succumbed to his injuries.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further proceedings.
