The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Wednesday ordered the transfer and posting of 19 officers of the State Taxes Department with immediate effect as part of an administrative reshuffle covering both Kashmir and Jammu divisions.
The orders were issued by the Finance Department under Government Order No. 506-FD of 2026, and include officers of the Junior Scale JKAS cadre as well as State Tax Officers posted in different circles and enforcement wings.
As per the order, Talat Mahmood Wani, Sheikh Ansar Hussain and Khanzada Mohd Usman, all Junior Scale JKAS officers, have been posted as Deputy Commissioners in the State Taxes Department’s Enforcement wings at North Sopore, Central Kashmir, Srinagar, and Lower Munda, Qazigund, respectively.
Dr Aafreen Wahid Ganai and Shefali Bhagat, also Junior Scale JKAS officers, have been posted to Circle-R, Srinagar, and Circle-I, Jammu, respectively.
Among the other postings in Kashmir, Parvaiz Ahmad Ganie has been posted as State Tax Officer, Enforcement North Kashmir.
Shokhat Ahmed Shoketh has been transferred from Circle Baramulla-III to Circle Baramulla-I, Sopore, while Farooq Ahmad Dar has been shifted from Circle Budgam to Circle Anantnag-III.
Khalid Mohammad Chesti has been transferred from Circle Anantnag-III to Circle-C, Srinagar, and Aijaz Hussain Malik from Circle-C, Srinagar, to Circle Budgam.
In the Jammu division, Sandeep Gupta has been transferred from Circle Ramban to State Taxes Enforcement, Kathua, with headquarters at Lakhanpur.
Sandeep Singh has been posted as State Tax Officer, Circle Udhampur, while Ranju Gupta has been transferred to Circle-II, Kathua.
Parvez Ahmed Wani has been shifted from Circle Poonch to Circle-O, Jammu, while Dr Tanvi Gupta has been transferred from Circle-O to Circle-L, Jammu.
Shakeel Khan has been transferred from Enforcement Rajouri to Circle Poonch, while Satyabushan has been shifted from Circle Kathua-II to Circle Ramban.
In another set of postings, Ranjeet Kour has been transferred from Circle-Q to P-Side, Jammu, while Sonia Khajuria has been shifted from P-Side to Circle-Q, Jammu.
The Government order states that the officers concerned shall be deemed relieved from their present places of posting, wherever applicable, with immediate effect.
The order has been issued by Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Finance Department, Shailendra Kumar, and circulated to the concerned departments and officers for immediate compliance.
