Iranian security forces have killed six members of a group described by authorities as a “terrorist group” near Manjilabad, close to the capital Tehran, after they were allegedly found planning a bomb attack, according to reports.

The development comes amid heightened tensions in the region, with the conflict in and around Iran continuing to draw international attention.

In Gaza, mourners gathered for another mass funeral following the recovery of the remains of more than 100 Palestinians from the rubble of buildings destroyed during Israel’s nearly three-year war in the territory.
