In a major administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening field policing and operational capabilities, the Jammu and Kashmir Police Headquarters has adjusted six Indian Police Service (IPS) officers of the AGMUT cadre and ordered the immediate transfer and posting of 12 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) across the Union Territory.
According to Police Order No. 2897 of 2026, issued by Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat, the six IPS officers belonging to the 2023 and 2024 batches have been assigned key field responsibilities following their formal reporting to the J&K segment upon completing Phase-II of their Basic Course Training.

- Kumari Someya (AGMUT:2023): Posted as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Headquarters, Jammu.
- Daniel Raj C (AGMUT:2023): Posted as ASP Headquarters, Budgam.
- Aditi Verma (AGMUT:2023): Assigned as Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), West Srinagar.
- Chaitanya Giri (AGMUT:2024): Posted as SDPO, R S Pura.
- Anant Dhanraj Singh (AGMUT:2024): Posted as SDPO, Bari Brahmana.
- Ayush Mani Chaudhary (AGMUT:2024): Assigned as SDPO, Nowshera.
Transfers & Postings of 12 DSPs
The order further directs the immediate reallocation of 12 DSP-level officers in the interest of public administration:
- Sajad Ahmad Malik: Shifted from DSP Headquarters, Budgam, to SDPO Sadder.
- Abdul Ghafoor: Transferred from SDPO Sadder to DSP Railways, Anantnag.
- Pardeep Singh Sen: Shifted from SDPO Bari Brahmana to DSP, State Investigation Agency (SIA), Jammu.
- Majad Mehboob: Transferred from SDPO West Srinagar to TMG, CID Headquarters.
- Sahil Mahajan: Reassigned from SDPO Nowshera to SDPO Nagrota.
- Vinod Kumar: Shifted from SDPO Nagrota to DSP Traffic, Ramban.
- Sajad Ahmad: Moved from DSP Traffic, Ramban, to DSP STWS, Jammu.
- Sajad Ahmad Mir: Transferred from DSP STWS, Jammu, to DSP 19th Battalion JKAP IR.
- Sartaj Ahmad: Shifted from DSP Railways, Anantnag, to DSP 21st Battalion JKAP IR.
- Farha Nishat: Moved from DSP Headquarters, Jammu, to DSP Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Jammu.
- Sanjeev Singh Slathia: Reassigned from DSP SIA, Jammu, to DSP EOW, Jammu (against the OAR post).
- Gurmeet Singh: Shifted from SDPO R S Pura to DSP Security, Jammu.
The Police Headquarters has ordered all concerned officers to be relieved from their present places of posting forthwith to assume their new charges.
