Examiner Bureau | Srinagar: The North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC), in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, hosted the third day of the ongoing four-day music festival “Jashn-e-Moseeqi” at the scenic Manasbal Park, witnessing an overwhelming response from both tourists and local residents.
The event turned into a vibrant celebration of Kashmir’s musical legacy, as large crowds gathered to experience soulful performances rooted in tradition. The evening commenced with captivating folk renditions by Abdur Rashid Dar and his troupe, who showcased authentic Kashmiri compositions reflecting the Valley’s rich cultural heritage.
Adding to the musical fervour, Qaiser Nizami mesmerised the audience with his engaging presentation of light Kashmiri music, blending melody with an energetic stage presence that kept the audience enthralled throughout.
The programme was attended by several dignitaries, including Additional Secretary JKAACL Ideel Saleem, Deputy Director NZCC Rajinder Sharma, CEO Manasbal Development Authority Ahsan Sahab, along with other prominent cultural figures and officials.
The festival aims to promote cultural exchange, preserve traditional art forms, and provide a platform for local talent to shine. The enthusiastic turnout once again underscored the growing appreciation for cultural initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir, reinforcing their role in preserving and strengthening the region’s artistic identity.
