Scheduled Power Shutdown in Budgam on April 22

Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited announces two-hour outage for maintenance work

The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a scheduled power shutdown in parts of Budgam on April 22, 2026.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, the shutdown of the 33 kV Budgam SIDCO Tapline will be undertaken to facilitate essential maintenance work. As a result, electricity supply will remain suspended from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Areas likely to be affected include Ompora, Housing Colony, NIFT, SIDCO, Sheikhpora, Bathar, and adjoining localities.

Consumers have been advised to make necessary arrangements in advance to manage the temporary disruption. Authorities have assured that power supply will be restored promptly upon completion of the maintenance work.
