Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Member of Parliament Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi has expressed concern over the government’s approach towards the restoration of Article 370, stating that the issue remains inadequately addressed despite electoral commitments.
Speaking to reporters, Mehdi said that the party had assured the people that it would actively pursue the restoration of Article 370 if voted to power. However, he noted that the current government has not taken sufficient steps in that direction, leading to growing disappointment among the public.
He further acknowledged that this issue has also resulted in differences between him and the present administration, reflecting internal concerns over the handling of a key political promise.
