The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday ordered the transfer and posting of two officers in the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs with immediate effect as part of an administrative reshuffle.
According to Government Order No. 6205-JK(LD) of 2026 dated May 15, issued by the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Suhail Hassan Tantray, who was serving as Additional Secretary to the Government in the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as Director Litigation, Kashmir.
The order stated that Tantray will continue to hold the additional charge of litigation work related to the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir until further orders.
Meanwhile, Shakeel Ahmad, Assistant Legal Remembrancer posted in the Directorate of Health Services Jammu and also holding additional charge of litigation matters of Government Medical College Jammu and Government Dental College Jammu, has been transferred and posted to Government Medical College Jammu on a full-time basis.
However, the government order clarified that Ahmad will continue to look after the litigation work of Government Dental College Jammu in addition to his new assignment until further instructions are issued.
The transfers are part of the government’s ongoing administrative restructuring aimed at streamlining legal and litigation management across departments and institutions in Jammu and Kashmir.
