The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of Jammu and Kathua districts to carry out maintenance and distribution-related works.
According to the Chief Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL Jammu, power supply to Transport Nagar, Narwal, Railway Colony, Upper Chowadi, parts of Channi Himmat, Malik Market, Matto Colony Bathindi, Sunjwan, Bahu Fort and adjoining areas will remain affected on May 30 from 6 am to 10 am.
Power supply to Bathindi, Sunjwan and adjoining localities will also remain disrupted on the same day from 6 am to 6.30 am and again from 10.30 am to 11 am.
Similarly, electricity supply to the Industrial Area Bari Brahmana will remain affected on May 30 from 5 pm to 7 pm.
Meanwhile, the Superintending Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL O&M Circle Kathua, stated that power supply to Taloor and adjoining areas will remain affected on May 30, May 31 and June 1 from 6 am to 2 pm.
In addition, electricity supply to Jakh and nearby areas will remain affected on May 30 from 7 am to 12 noon.
Consumers residing in the affected areas have been advised to make necessary arrangements to minimise inconvenience during the scheduled shutdown period.
