Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan married his longtime partner, Gauri Spratt, in a private ceremony at his Bandra residence on Sunday. The couple, who have been together for over two years, officially tied the knot through a registered marriage in the presence of their families and a select circle of close friends.
According to the actor’s official team, the intimate gathering was attended by immediate family members, including Khan’s children from his previous marriages.
Ahead of the ceremony, Khan’s daughter, Ira Khan, and son, Junaid Khan, were photographed arriving at the venue. Notable film industry personalities, including Lagaan director Ashutosh Gowariker and actor Elli AvrRam, were also among the select guests in attendance.
From a Chance Meeting to a Lifelong Partnership
While Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt initially met approximately 25 years ago, their romantic relationship began in 2024 after reconnecting through Khan’s cousin, Nuzhat Khan, in Bengaluru. Following a year in a long-distance relationship, Khan formally introduced Spratt as his partner to the media during his 60th birthday celebrations in March 2025.
Spratt subsequently relocated from Bengaluru to Mumbai with her son from a previous marriage. Transitioning from her executive role at a haircare corporation, she joined Aamir Khan Productions, where she currently works alongside the banner, which recently marked its 25th anniversary.
The couple had been cohabiting at Khan’s Mumbai residence for over a year before finalizing their wedding plans. Khan had previously confirmed the upcoming nuptials last month. Earlier this week, during the premiere of director Rajkumar Hirani’s digital debut Pritam and Pedro, the actor reiterated that the wedding would be a streamlined, legal registry followed by a low-key family celebration.

Marriage to Reena Dutta (1986–2002)
Long before achieving global stardom, Khan married Reena Dutta in 1986. The marriage lasted for nearly 16 years before the couple legally separated in 2002. They share two children, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan. Over the last two decades, Khan and Dutta have consistently maintained a cordial relationship, frequently appearing together at family milestones.
Marriage to Kiran Rao (2005–2021)
Khan later married filmmaker Kiran Rao in December 2005. The two initially met on the sets of the Oscar-nominated film Lagaan, where Rao served as an assistant director. The couple welcomed their son, Azad Rao Khan, via surrogacy in 2011.
After 16 years of marriage, they announced their separation in 2021. Despite their divorce, Khan and Rao continue to co-parent their son and collaborate heavily on creative and philanthropic ventures, including the Paani Foundation.
