Six persons, including five Shri Amarnath Yatra pilgrims from Uttar Pradesh and a driver from Ganderbal, were injured after their vehicle met with an accident near Jakhani in Udhampur district on Saturday morning, officials said.
The injured were immediately shifted to Government Medical College (GMC), Udhampur, where they are undergoing treatment. Officials said their condition is being closely monitored.
Following the incident, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha spoke with the Deputy Commissioner of Udhampur and health officials to enquire about the condition of the injured.
The Lieutenant Governor directed senior officials to ensure that the injured receive all necessary assistance and the best possible medical care for their speedy recovery.
Expressing concern over the accident, Sinha said, “I pray to Baba Barfani for the safety, well-being and smooth journey of all devotees.”
