A peaceful protest demanding the immediate restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood was held at Makar Dwar Parliament House in New Delhi, with leaders of the INDIA Alliance extending support to the movement and reaffirming their commitment to the restoration of full statehood.

The demonstration brought together political leaders and supporters, who described the restoration of statehood as a constitutional right and called upon the Centre to fulfil its commitment to restore Jammu and Kashmir’s status as a full-fledged state.

Speaking on the occasion, the organisers expressed gratitude to the leaders and Members of Parliament of the INDIA Alliance for standing in solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir and lending support to what they described as a collective democratic movement.

The leaders asserted that the demand for statehood transcends political affiliations and reflects the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Reiterating their resolve, they said the peaceful and democratic struggle for the restoration of statehood would continue until the demand is fulfilled.

The protest concluded peacefully, with participants pledging to intensify their constitutional and democratic campaign for the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood.
