The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Wednesday ordered a major administrative reshuffle in the Labour and Employment Department, transferring and posting 13 officers, including Assistant Labour Commissioners (ALCs) and Assistant Directors (Employment), with immediate effect.
The transfers were notified through Government Order No. 42-JK(L&E) of 2026, issued by the Labour and Employment Department. The order states that the transfers have been made “in the interest of administration”, and all officers shall be deemed to have been relieved from their present assignments with immediate effect.
Under the reshuffle, Mukhlis Ali, JKAS, who was serving as Assistant Director Employment, Jammu, has been transferred as Assistant Director Employment, Baramulla, with the additional charge of Assistant Labour Commissioner, Baramulla.
Suninderjeet Kour, JKAS, who was awaiting orders of posting, has been appointed Assistant Labour Commissioner, Samba, while Amil Khateeb, JKAS, has been shifted from the Joint Directorate of Employment, Kashmir, to serve as Assistant Labour Commissioner, Kupwara, with the additional charge of Assistant Director Employment, Kupwara.
Among other transfers, Himani Jerath, JKAS, has been moved from Assistant Labour Commissioner, Samba, to Assistant Labour Commissioner, Jammu and Kashmir Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (JKBOCWWB).
Muneer Hussain, JKAS, has been posted as Assistant Director Employment, Kathua, with the additional charge of Assistant Labour Commissioner, Kathua.
Amit Kumar, JKAS, has been transferred from Assistant Labour Commissioner, Ramban, to Assistant Labour Commissioner, Kishtwar, while Mohammad Arif Mughal has been shifted from Assistant Labour Commissioner, Poonch, to Assistant Labour Commissioner, Rajouri.
The order further posts Shabnam Arif as Assistant Director Employment, District Employment and Counselling Centre (DECC), Srinagar, while Pradyot Gupta has been transferred as Assistant Labour Commissioner, Doda, with the additional charge of Assistant Director Employment, Doda.
Rahil Amin, JKAS, has been posted as Assistant Director Employment, Kulgam, and will also hold the additional charge of Assistant Labour Commissioner, Kulgam.
The reshuffle also includes the transfer of Zamir Ahmad, JKAS, from Assistant Labour Commissioner, Budgam, to Assistant Labour Commissioner, Poonch; Piyusha Khajuria, JKAS, from Assistant Labour Commissioner, Kathua, to Assistant Director Employment, Ramban, with the additional charge of Assistant Labour Commissioner, Ramban; and Rabia Iqbal, from Assistant Labour Commissioner, Bandipora, to Assistant Labour Commissioner, Budgam.
The order, issued by Administrative Secretary, Labour and Employment, Kr. Rajeev Ranjan (IAS), has been circulated to all concerned authorities for immediate implementation.
