Five personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were injured after a CRPF vehicle collided with a truck near Levdura in Qazigund area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Tuesday morning.
According to officials, the accident occurred on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, following which the injured personnel were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The injured have been identified as Inspector Raj Kumar Tiwari, SI/GD Rajinder Singh, ASI/GD Lovenday, ASI/GD Umesh Kumar and Head Constable Driver Virender.
Doctors are monitoring the condition of the injured personnel, officials said.
Police and other concerned agencies have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated necessary proceedings. Further details regarding the circumstances leading to the collision are awaited.
