Examiner Bureau | Poonch:
All government and private schools across Poonch district will remain closed on Tuesday as a precautionary measure amid inclement weather, heavy rainfall and rising water levels in rivers and nallahs.
The closure order was issued by the Chief Education Officer, Poonch, in view of concerns over the safety of students and school staff amid the prevailing weather conditions.
Authorities said the decision was taken as water levels in local rivers and water channels continued to rise, increasing the risk of flooding and other weather-related incidents in vulnerable areas.
All concerned educational institutions and officials have been directed to ensure strict compliance with the closure order and take necessary precautionary measures to safeguard students and staff.
The administration is closely monitoring the weather situation and has urged residents, particularly those living near rivers, streams and other vulnerable locations, to remain cautious.
