The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday ordered the transfer and posting of two senior officials, including Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council Secretary Nuzhat Gul, with immediate effect.
According to Government Order No. 1465-JK(GAD) of 2026, issued by the General Administration Department, Nuzhat Gul, Secretary of the J&K Sports Council, has been transferred and posted as Secretary of the J&K Advisory Board for Development of Kisans.
The government said the transfer has been ordered “in the interest of administration”. Gul shall be deemed to have been relieved from her present assignment with immediate effect.
In a separate order issued on Tuesday, Tariq Ahmad Kakroo, General Manager (Operations) of the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation (JKTDC), has been transferred and posted as Secretary of the J&K Advisory Board for Development of Other Backward Classes.
Kakroo’s new posting will also take effect immediately, and he shall be deemed to have been relieved from his present assignment, according to the government order.
The latest administrative reshuffle comes as the government continues to realign senior officers across various departments and advisory boards to meet administrative requirements and ensure effective functioning of key institutions.
