One person was killed and five others injured after a Bolero vehicle they were travelling in lost control and overturned in the Marmat area of Doda district on Saturday, officials said.
According to officials, the accident occurred near Marmat when the Bolero, bearing registration number JK06-6479, reportedly lost control and overturned, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to five others.
The deceased was identified as Gulzar Ahmed, a resident of Kalhota.
The injured were identified as Ashvin Singh, Pawan Kumar, Pinku Kumar, Kalyan Singh and Balbir Singh.
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Doda for medical treatment.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the accident.
