Examiner Bureau | Srinagar:
The Interim Body of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) Association has called a one-day pen-down strike to protest the alleged humiliation of a woman officer during an official meeting on October 14.
In a communication to its members, the interim body said the protest was aimed at upholding the dignity, self-respect and institutional honour of the JKAS fraternity.
The association urged its members to stand united in solidarity, asserting that any alleged affront to the dignity of one officer was a matter of concern for the entire service.
The call for the strike comes amid growing reactions to the reported exchange during the official meeting, which has triggered demands for an impartial inquiry and accountability.
