The Ladakh Administration has ordered changes in the allocation of departments and assigned additional responsibilities to three IAS officers with immediate effect.
According to Order No. 527-LA(GAD) of 2026, issued on October 31, Shurbir Singh, IAS (2004), has been assigned the charge of Commissioner, Goods and Services Tax (GST), relieving Tsewang Tharchin, IA&AS, of the responsibility.
In another administrative change, Arava Gopi Krishna, IAS (2012), has been entrusted with the charge of the Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Department, relieving Shurbir Singh of the assignment.
