Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday reaffirmed the administration’s strong commitment to eliminating drug abuse in Jammu and Kashmir while chairing a high-level review meeting at Lok Bhavan.
The meeting focused on assessing the progress of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan, a key initiative aimed at building a drug-free society across the Union Territory.
Earlier in the day, the Lieutenant Governor also led a large-scale anti-drug and anti–narco-terrorism campaign in Srinagar. A massive rally was organised at TRC Stadium, drawing thousands of participants and amplifying awareness against drug abuse.
Citizens, youth and government officials joined the march, sending a unified message against drug addiction and narco-terrorism. The administration described the rally as a strong reflection of public resolve to combat the growing menace.
Officials emphasised that such community-driven initiatives are crucial for ensuring long-term success in the fight against drugs and for securing a safer, healthier future for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
