A driver lost his life after a Maruti Suzuki Eeco met with an accident on the hilly stretch of Shagun Road near Badarkote Nallah in the Ramsoo area of Ramban district on Wednesday, officials said.
According to officials, the vehicle, bearing registration number JK19A-5276, was involved in a crash near Badarkote Nallah, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramsoo.
The deceased was identified as Wasim Ahmad, son of Mohammad Qasim and a resident of Higni, Ramsoo. Officials said he sustained critical injuries in the accident and died on the spot.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated legal proceedings to determine the circumstances and cause of the crash.
Further investigation is underway.
