Suspected Infiltrator Apprehended Along LoC in Poonch Sector

26-year-old man from PoJK detained in Gulpur area; joint security teams launch interrogation

A suspected intruder was apprehended along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir after he allegedly attempted to infiltrate into Indian territory, official sources said on Friday.

The individual has been identified as 26-year-old Mohammad Sajjad, son of Mohammad Rafiq, a resident of Polas village in the Abbaspur area of Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).

According to official sources, Sajjad was apprehended by the Indian Army during an alleged infiltration attempt in the Gulpur area of the Poonch sector.

Following his detention, he was shifted to a nearby Army camp, where joint teams of security agencies are questioning him to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the alleged infiltration attempt and any possible links.

Further investigation into the incident is underway.
