Examiner Bureau | Srinagar:

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday strongly condemned the terror attack on labourers in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, in which one worker from Chhattisgarh was killed and another injured.

The Lieutenant Governor said he spoke with Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat and other senior security officials following the attack and directed security forces to intensify anti-terror operations to track down and eliminate those responsible.

In a post on X, Sinha described the attack as a “cowardly act” and said security forces had been instructed to step up operations against the perpetrators.

He said the Jammu and Kashmir Police and other security agencies had cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to bring those involved to justice.

The Lieutenant Governor said the injured labourer from Chhattisgarh had been shifted to a hospital for specialised medical treatment. He expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family and wished the injured worker a speedy recovery.

“The J&K administration and the entire nation stand with the affected families,” Sinha said.
