The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Monday ordered a major reshuffle of police officers in the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), J&K, involving transfers, postings, promotions and repatriations with immediate effect.
The changes were ordered through Government Order No. 47-JK-GAD(Vig) of 2026, dated August 31, issued by Commissioner/Secretary to the Government M. Raju, IAS.
As per the order, Peerzada Aijaz Ahmad, JKPS, Additional Superintendent of Police, SIA Kashmir, has been transferred and posted in the Anti-Corruption Bureau against an available vacant post.
Mudasir Ahmed Tramboo, JKPS, who was serving as Deputy Superintendent of Police in the ACB, has been promoted and posted as Superintendent of Police in the Anti-Corruption Bureau, J&K.
The government has also repatriated SSP Zahoor Ahmad Wani and SSP Ayaz Ahmad Sheikh, both presently posted in the ACB, to the Home Department for further posting.
The order further directs the transfer and posting of four Deputy Superintendents of Police to the Anti-Corruption Bureau against available vacant posts.
They include Umer Rashid (JKPS-155782), transferred from CID CI Budgam; Swati Sharma (JKPS-125706), from DySP Political SB Jammu; Showkat Zarger (ARP-981650), from JKAP 5th Battalion; and Manzoor Ahmad (EXK-951950), from AC Home Guards, Kulgam.
Meanwhile, Ashwani Kumar Angotra (EXJ-986443) and Yog Raj (EXJ005608), Inspectors presently posted in the ACB, have been promoted and posted as Deputy Superintendents of Police in the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
The government has also repatriated three DySPs currently serving in the ACB to the Home Department for further posting.
The officers are Sagar Singh (EX3-935624), Gurmeet Singh (EXJ-005598) and Narinder Singh (EXJ-925463).
The latest reshuffle is part of the government’s administrative exercise to strengthen the functioning of the Anti-Corruption Bureau and ensure appropriate deployment of police officers against available posts.
