At least two people were killed after an oil tanker met with an accident at Pathimhal in the Palmar area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district on Saturday, reports said.
According to preliminary reports, the oil tanker was travelling through the area when the accident occurred at Pathimhal, resulting in the deaths of two persons travelling in the vehicle. Both reportedly died on the spot.
Soon after the incident, police personnel and local residents rushed to the accident site and initiated rescue and relief efforts.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the accident.
The identities of the deceased are yet to be confirmed, officials said.
