The sixth session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly is scheduled to begin on September 21, with the Assembly Secretariat issuing a provisional calendar outlining seven days of legislative business through September 30.
According to the calendar issued under the authority of Assembly Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather, the session will commence on September 21 with obituary references, followed by government business.
September 22 has been allocated for government business, while September 23 will be a holiday on account of the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh.
The House will take up Private Members’ Bills on September 24, followed by Private Members’ Resolutions on September 25.
September 26 has been designated as an off day, while September 27 will also be a holiday.
The Assembly will resume its proceedings on September 28 with Private Members’ Bills, followed by government business on September 29.
The final scheduled day, September 30, has been kept for government business, if any.
The provisional calendar has been issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Secretariat under the authority of Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather.
The schedule, however, is subject to change depending on the business listed before the House and any subsequent decisions by the Assembly Secretariat.
