Examiner Bureau | Srinagar:
The Gulmarg Gondola, one of Jammu and Kashmir’s major tourist attractions, will remain out of service from September 14 to 17 for its scheduled annual inspection, officials said.
During the closure, both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the cable car service will remain unavailable as routine safety inspections and maintenance work are carried out.
The authorities are expected to resume Gondola operations immediately after the inspection is completed on September 17, subject to the completion of the required safety checks.
Visitors have been advised to purchase Gondola tickets only through the official Jammu and Kashmir Cable Car Corporation (JKCCC) portal once the service resumes. Tourists have also been cautioned against purchasing tickets through local touts or unauthorised agents.
The authorities expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to visitors due to the temporary suspension of services.
