A Traffic Police head constable was killed after being hit by a truck in the Qazigund area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday morning, reports said.
The accident took place near Shampora Bridge, where a truck bearing registration number JK03Q-9011 allegedly lost control and struck the police officer.
The impact left the officer critically injured. He later succumbed to his injuries at the spot, according to reports.
The deceased was identified as Mushtaq Ahmad, a resident of Kulpora. Further details regarding the circumstances of the accident were awaited.
