A 60-year-old man died after an e-auto skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge in the Qilla Mohalla area of Bhaderwah on Monday.
According to officials, the accident occurred when the driver lost control of the e-auto, causing it to veer off the road and fall into the gorge.
The driver sustained injuries in the accident and was rushed to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Bhaderwah, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The deceased was identified as Davinder Kumar, 60, son of Hans Raj, a resident of Mathola, Bhaderwah.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the accident.
