The Director School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has revised the timings of all government and recognised private schools up to the Higher Secondary level across Jammu Division, with the new schedule coming into effect from October 1.
As per the revised schedule, schools falling under the Summer Zone will function from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, while institutions in the Winter Zone will operate from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.
The DSEJ has directed all concerned school authorities to strictly adhere to the prescribed timings and ensure compliance with the revised schedule.
The department has also warned that any deviation from the notified timings will invite action against the defaulting institution under the rules in force.
The revised schedule will apply to all government and recognised private schools up to the Higher Secondary level falling within the respective Summer and Winter zones of Jammu Division.
