A 35-year-old man was found dead inside his rented accommodation in the Bodgair area of Alikadal in Srinagar on Wednesday, reports said.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Shakoor, son of Gh Hussain, a resident of Thanna Mandi in Rajouri district.
According to reports, Shakoor was found unconscious inside the rented premises. Following the incident, police reached the spot and shifted him to a hospital.
However, the circumstances leading to his death were not immediately clear.
Police have initiated necessary proceedings, while further details are awaited.
